The Seaeye 600DT System is rated for operations to a depth of 300 metres. The 600DT is the latest evolution of the original Seaeye 600 introduced in the mid 1980's. The original hydrodynamic shape remains unchanged but modern digital electronics, today's control technology and the latest Seaeye SM4 thrusters have been added to enhance the power and performance envelope of this internationally established observation ROV. The forward speed of a Seaeye 600DT is in excess of three knots.

A basic ROV system comprises the Vehicle, Power Distribution Unit (PDU) which contains all the surface control electronics, a Hand Controller and an isolation transformer.

The surface power and control units can be supplied free standing or as a containerised system. The Control Container can be Zone II rated or rated for safe area operations with optional air conditioning.

Seaeye 600DT's can be operated either in a free swimming mode or via the optional Seaeye 600DT Tether Management System (TMS). The TMS is a side entry garage system with a bale arm mechanism (no slip-rings required) and with a140 metre tether capacity.

A skid mounted 'A' frame and lifting winch with 400 metres of armoured lift umbilical is offered as a compact combined unit to launch and recover a TMS garaged Seaeye 600DT. This can be offered rated for hazardous area Zone II operations or to A60 standard for 'safe area' operations and is known as a 'LARS' or Launch and Recovery System. Alternatively you may have your own crane available and may only require the lifting winch and armoured umbilical with an umbilical sheave and a lock-latch release mechanism and vehicle bullet for launch and recovery.

The 600DT is propelled by four highly efficient SEAEYE SM4 brushless DC thrusters. Thruster configuration is two horizontal and two vertran units.

Manufactured in polypropylene with an ABS bottom protective cover and 316 stainless steel lifting frame. The chassis is rugged, durable, resilient and virtually maintenance free. All fasteners are 316 stainless steel.

Pressure Housings
Both the electronics pod and camera ball are machined from 6082 marine grade aluminium and hard anodised black.

Neoprene 'wet mateable' type connectors are used throughout.

A single hydro-dynamically shaped block of closed cell polyurethane foam. A fully protected aperture for an obstacle avoidance sonar is designed into the foam.

Control System
16 bit digital system providing easy interfacing to ancillary equipment by the operator. The SEAEYE comprehensive video overlay is fitted as standard providing digital and analogue compass rose, tilt icon, date time group, depth (metric or imperial), CP value ,pre-titled and free text pages. Vehicle data may be exported to clients Survey or Navigation computer systems via the SEAEYE Telemetry Interface Unit in conjunction with a PC.

Camera Ball
A hydro-dynamically shaped 1 atmosphere housing in which two television cameras may be fitted. A SEAEYE colour CCD camera is fitted as standard. The second camera being a client specified option.

Tilt range is +70 and -90 from the horizontal.

Single lighting channel equipped with two individually fused SEAEYE 150W lamp units. Brilliance control is on the Hand Control Unit. Lamp units are positioned at either end of the camera ball to provide optimum lighting.

Video System
Single TV channel with camera change-over switch in the vehicle. Instantaneous camera selection is by the pilot from the Hand Control Unit. Video transmission is via a balanced line driver and a screened twisted pair within the umbilical cable.

Surface Control Unit
Contains all vehicle system surface control electronics. This unit is 19" rack mountable and is supplied in a sealed (when closed) steel enclosure.

Hand Controller & Surface Unit

Hand Control Unit
A small remote hand control unit containing all vehicle controls. Unit is supplied with a 5 metre flying lead.

Isolation Transformer
Portable isolation transformer unit with IP65 rated steel housing. This unit provides all the necessary voltages to operate the vehicle system. Power requirements: 110 to 440vac single/dual phase. 50/60 Hz. at 6.5kva.
